The upcoming locations and dates are:
Free Training Seminars
- Future seminars are planned, so watch this space!
PLEASE make the sessions known to the staff and students on any campus in the area, as well as to any users you know. We will not necessarily be able to notify each seminary or college in the vicinity of the seminar, so if you have a contact or are on such a campus, please arrange to pass on the information.
We are posting several recorded sessions of seminars to give you a taste of the real thing, and an opportunity to "attend" one at your convenience.
Most all-day seminars now run from 9 am to 6 pm and consist of two sessions with a break for lunch.
The first session will introduce Accordance, the underlying concepts, the interface and searching, and the range of available materials including a sample Bible Study, and is suitable for non-users and new users. The second session will demonstrate the graphic tools, the iOS app, and the advanced search and analysis capabilities with special emphasis on the Greek and Hebrew tagged texts and accompanying tools.
Users are encouraged to bring their own laptops to follow the projected demonstrations. A Seminar Training Manual is also recommended.
Shorter seminars at academic institutions focus on the Greek and Hebrew texts and tools.
A sales representative is usually available to offer upgrades and new purchases at a special seminar discount.
This review gives a great overview of a Training Seminar held at New Brunswick Theological Seminary. (Note: This particular seminar was held in conjuction with The American Baptist Churches of New Jersey to offer continuing education credit to its members.)
We have decided not to charge for registration at seminars, so they are completely free to all attendees. However, it greatly aids our planning if attendees do let us know as soon as possible if they plan to come, and inform us if their plans change. Please register at least 5 days in advance by email. To register, send an email with the location of the seminar. You can also use this address for any questions about the seminars.
Seminar Special Bonus for Early Registrants who Attend:
For some seminars only we are offering a special bonus -- a $10 to $20 credit to people who both register in advance and attend the seminar. Here is how it works:
You register for the seminar at least 72 hours before the start of the seminar.
You attend the seminar and sign in on the registration sheet.
You place an order during the seminar (or up to midnight if there is no sales person present and you are given a special code).
Your credit will be applied in addition to any special offers at the seminar.
This credit will be offered in the invitations to specific seminars.
We highly recommend that you download a copy of the Seminar Training Manual if you do not already own one. This manual will be referred to throughout the seminar.
OakTree Software will also be presenting Accordance at these upcoming meetings:
