The Göttingen Septuagint (Vetus Testamentum Graecum: Auctoritate Academiae Scientiarum Gottingensis editum) is a major critical version, comprising multiple volumes published from 1931 to 2006 and not yet complete. Its critical apparatus presents variant Septuagint readings and variants from other Greek versions.

This module includes the grammatically tagged critical text of LXX Numbers together with the apparatus: John William Wevers. Numeri [Numbers]. Septuaginta: Vetus Testamentum Graecum, Band 3,1. Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht, 1982.

I bought LXXG-NUM a couple months ago, whereas I’d purchased the entire set years ago in Logos. I’ve (so far) found three instances where the Accordance version does not represent the work of Wevers in the Göttingen edition but rather that of Rahlfs:

Obviously, whoever updated the digital database from LXX1 to LXXG-NUM did a partial job. I really love the simplicity of the search capacities in Accordance but it gives me little comfort to see this many errors in a work of this magnitude.

The sorts of details do indeed matter to users who believe they have purchased the Göttingen editions instead of Rahlfs’ handheld version. I think Accordance should implement a rebate scheme for users who find typos in resources that don’t reflect the actual editions.
