Commenting and Commentaries

Prod ID: Spurgeon-Commenting
Available Within a Package

This module consists of two lectures “addressed to the students of The Pastors’ College, Metropolitan Tabernacle” by Charles Spurgeon.

The first lecture gives Spurgeon’s evaluations of various commentaries available in his day (several of which are available as Accordance modules; such as Matthew Henry, John Calvin, Adam Clarke, and Jamieson, Fausset, and Brown.)

In the second lecture, Spurgeon turns from the commentaries to their practical use.  He gives instructions to his students about how to comment on the Scriptures effectively.
