It was a must for me to post a review of this book by Brueggermann! The thought-provoking layout of this Lent season reading is beyond beautiful. It touches my heart so deeply, I have to control myself with the desire to read ahead to the upcoming days. The Christ inspired text is transformative in a way that makes you pause and reflect on the person standing in front of the mirror, challenging what you may think to the way in which you MUST be changed from within. The messages embedded catapults the devotion reader to a desire of wanting to walk by values Jesus demonstrated at a much deeper and meaningful level every single day versus the generic mechanizations we tend to fall into as traps from our standard “religious” practices. He calls every one of us out from the shadows are hide behind from political affiliation, socio-economic status, educational achievements, etc. He pulls back the covers we attempt to hide behind that prevents us from truly serving God in the manner we MUST in order to turn this world GOD SIDE UP! I thank God for His divine inspiration for the authoring of this book. If you do not have it, I recommend purchasing!
