This is high quality international scholarship on the Early Church. The Augustinianum is the (Catholic) Pontifical faculty specialized in patristics, and to produce this encyclopedia they collaborated with scholars around the world. As you would expect, the entries include a bibliography of primary texts, translations, and secondary sources, in multiple languages. The basis for the English text is the second Italian edition: the translation reads well and is for the most part very good. In over a year of using this resource, I found two mistranslations, but in both cases it was obvious because the text was saying something chronologically impossible.
