I bought this for sentimental reasons as my wife had a copy before we married and it was one of the resources I was still using before i bought accordance. We still have it on our library shelves. Vine’s is a nt dictionary and as such was very useful though in accordance i have added several more dictionaries and i have found im not using vines very much.
The ot section is actually nelsons expository dictionary which has been bundled with Vine’s to cover the whole bible. While i can see an advantage in covering the whole bible, i find nelson’s to be very weak in the number of entries, for example there are 15 for E and 4 entries for O. The articles vary in length but on the whole, when a word is defined, it is a reasonable entry and in some cases more detailed than the entries in Vine’s. However, the scarcity of entries makes it a pale shadow of an offering compared to Vine’s.

If you predominantly use the nt and after a dictionary and have used Vine’s previously buy this.
But be aware that if you are also use the ot and want something to cover the whole bible, then you will probably need to get an additional dictionary as Nelson’s is no where near as comprehensive as Vine’s.
