Details

This module includes a collection of many of the major Northwest Semitic inscriptions with a separate parallel module with their English translations.  Future upgrades are planned to include all major Northwest Semitic inscriptions (e.g., Aramaic, Phoenician, Moabite, Ammonite, Edomite, etc.)  See also the Inscriptions Index for detailed background information on the Northwest Semitic inscriptions.

Both the Northwest Semitic inscriptions and their English translations are included with the purchase of the Hebrew inscriptions (INSCRIP).

To save on the purchase of Hebrew inscriptions and translation along with Northwest Semitic inscriptions, translation, and index, see Inscriptions add-on bundle.

I'm reviewing the module; albeit, everyone is going to buy this module within a different package. The module itself is useful in that you can search through a chunk of inscriptions from KAI at ease and also pop up a side-by-side translation of an inscription with a brief not of its provenance and date at the front of the inscription.

However, for all of its usefulness, one still needs a copy of KAI (the standard volume of Northwest Semitic inscriptions) and to use a concordance outside of this program to get any complete information. As it stands, only a fraction of the inscriptions are uploaded on the module, less than 70 by my counting, and there is also the occasional typo in the translation. This problem also doesn't seem like it will be reconciled at all in the near future- I brought it back in April 2015, almost five years ago as of this review, and the thing is still mostly incomplete.

The module itself is a great idea- I hope they finish updating it because it is a nice ...

The module itself is a great idea- I hope they finish updating it because it is a nice quick way to check for things (albeit only as a start at this point). But, I would not recommend buying it as this point.
